William (Bill) Jekielek went home to be with the Lord June12, 2024 leaving behind his loving wife of 72 years, Ann (Fiducia) ,son David (Ceil) Jekielek, daughters Patricia “Trish” Deremer and Susan Jekielek , grandsons Steven DiFrancesco, Alex Jekielek and Eric (Tina) Jekielek, great grandsons Mason and Levi Jekielek and Billy Tidwell. A memorial mass will be celebrated at Guardian Angels church in Copley OH , July 15,2024 at 11:00 am. Born in Niagara Falls, NY , Bill was very athletic and played on the Brooklyn Dodgers AAA team as an outfielder until he was drafted into the Marines near the end of WWII. He was drafted a second time and served in the Army Airborne as a paratrooper. After his military service, Bill and Ann owned and operated the Willow Inn tavern for 20 years in Niagara Falls. Upon selling the business , he worked as a landfill supervisor for Waste Mtg for 19 years in Youngstown NY. In his retirement years, he enjoyed golfing, cooking and being with Ann. But most importantly, he loved his family.
