Virginia Stockwell

Virginia Alice Stockwell, age 87 of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on September 9, 2024. Virgina was born on January 28, 1937, in Grantsville, West Virginia, to the late Asher and Stella (Bennett) Stockwell. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers Bill, Brad and Donald Stockwell, sister Elizabeth Coleman, Son Robert Lewis Stump, Granddaughter Tiffany Allison Webb. Virginia’s surviving children, Sindra Stump (William Stockwell), Kenneth (Paula) Stump, Carolyn (Harold) Slaughter and Terra (Wesley) Albright, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She loved to watch boxing, she loved her crafts and enjoyed giving them to family and friends, mostly her crocheted blankets. She loved to go to bingo, especially when she got to yell out BINGO! Virginia had various jobs during her life. One of her favorites was working in the floral department at Giant Eagle. She also volunteered at the Salvation Army as a grandmother at the daycare center.  Our family would like to thank everyone for their helpful support during this hard time.
