Thomas L. Takarchek

Thomas L. Takarchek, 54, of Akron, OH passed away 09/05/2023 at Summa Hospital.

He was born 08/29/1969 in Akron, OH, the son of Harry and Janet (Seeders) Takarchek.

On 11/05/1994, he married Melissa A. (Vaughn) Takarchek. Together they shared 29 happy years of marriage.

Tom was born and raised in Akron (Ellet), OH. He retired after 33 years of service from the Laborer’s Union. He enjoyed camping; especially sitting by a campfire. Tom enjoyed fishing with his best friend and son Ryan. He loved a good episode of NCIS or a game of euchre. Tom will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor. He will truly be missed by family and a long list of great friends.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Janet Takarchek, brother Chuck Takarchek, sister Charlotte Takarchek, and father-in-law Jack Vaughn.

Tom leaves behind his best friend and wife of 29 years, Melissa (Vaughn) Takarchek, son Ryan (Rebecca) Takarchek, brother Robert (Cathy) Takarchek, niece Charlotte Takarchek, mother in law Joyce Vaughn, and sister Nicole (George) Vaughn.
