Thomas Eugene Buehl, 70, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, passed away from medical complications on May 28, 2023. Born September 6, 1952, Tom was preceded in death by his parents Robert E. Buehl and Rose Ann Love, brother Michael Buehl and sister Roberta "Bobbi" Buehl, and step-daughter Michaelann "Miki" (Timothy) Miller.
Tom was a very strong-minded, fun-loving, hard-working family man who spent much of his life defining what it means to be truly adventurous. He and his wife Liz, whom he loved for more than 42 years, have together indulged in many of the world's most stunning sights - cruising around the world and road tripping across the USA. When his children were younger, they spent many weekends traveling near and far to go fishing and camping, to find the highest rides at amusement and water parks, and to search out the cheesiest games at fairs & festivals.
In addition to traveling, spending time with his family, and chatting up anyone who'd listen, Tom had a true passion for martial arts and very much enjoyed his studies in both Judo and Kung Foo.
For no good rhyme, and for no good reason other than to just be the fun and silly man he was- Tom was known for some of his most zany sayings like, "You got a cat in your hat, and a fly in your eye" "Gotta get this monkey off my back" , and his most famous line that covers it all, "It is what it is."
It was the School of Hard Knocks where Tom was educated and learned to survive, and he spent more than half of his life working hard to support his family. During his working career he made tires for BF Goodrich, truly enjoyed being a bartender at the Polish American Club, and held many security officer positions which he took very seriously.
The 2'' oldest of eight, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, brother, cousin, and friend will be deeply missed.
Tom is survived by his wife Elizabeth "Liz" Buehl, daughter Patty (Garry) Ash, sons Michael L. Buehl and William Alexander, granddaughters Sierra, Cortney, Elizabeth and Brandi, and great-grandchildren Payton, Joseph, and Thomas, sisters Kim Armour and Lynn (Kerry) Armour, brothers Jody (Freda) Armour, Jeff (Michelle) Armour, and Fred (Sheila) Armour, and his lifelong friend Mrs. Judy Talbert.
