Thomas E. Brown

Thomas E. (Gene) Brown, 80, of Akron, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 24, 2023, at home following a long battle with cancer.

Gene was born November 29, 1942, in Homestead, Pa. to Thomas and Eleanor Brown (Lawson). He graduated from Coventry High School and achieved a degree in engineering from the University of Akon.  Gene was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber for 39 years. He retired as Chief Engineer for Machine Design in 2004.

Gene married the love of his life, Judith Lee (Judy), in 1963.  They were the parents of two sons, Michael and Jerry (Devin).

Gene and Judy loved to travel and enjoyed many vacations together.  Gene loved to take photographs every place they traveled.

Gene is survived by his wife Judy of 59 years and the two sons, Michael and Jerry (Devin). He leaves to mourn 8 grandchildren, Lauren of Cincinnati, Oh, Devin, Regan, Aiden, Thomas, Noah, Arabella and Juniper all of North Carolina.

He was a longtime member of Community Christian Church in North Canton, Oh. where he served in many capacities.
