Surrounded by family, Susan Jarosz (King), age 70 went peacefully home to be with the Lord on December 7, 2024. Susie was born on April 30, 1954, in Kittanning, PA to James and Ann King (Procyszyn). Susie cherished her hometown Ford City, PA and loved family gatherings with her siblings Carol (Harry), Robert (Debbie), Marilyn (Ron), and Charles (Renee).
After graduating from Ford City High School in 1972, Susie relocated to Northeast Ohio, where she would raise four children: Aaron Poundstone (Laura), Jeremy Poundstone (Jodi), Colin Hawkins (Amanda) and the late Sarah Hawkins. In later life, she would go on to marry her best friend, Ralph Jarosz. Susie retired from Akron City Hospital, where she was passionate about caring for the sick and elderly, to work alongside her husband at Ralph’s Auto in Twinsburg, OH. During their 15 years together, Susie and Ralph loved to travel and spend time creating fond memories. Ralph’s daughters Wendy and Jill were an added blessing to Susie’s life.
Susie was a Western PA girl through and through and bled black and gold. She followed and rooted for the major Pittsburgh sports teams. An avid Steelers fan since the 1970s, Susie was never hesitant to let people know who her team was.
In addition to her husband, siblings and sons, Susie is survived by grandchildren Brandon (Gabby), Ryan, Allie Poundstone and Sarah Hawkins, and great granddaughter Sutton Poundstone, along with several nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, and lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Sarah.
Susie cared for many pets in her lifetime; she especially treasured her black Lab, Tammy Marie. Her four beloved cats survived her.
The family would like to give a special thanks to those who cared for and comforted Susie during her illness: the 6th floor of Ahuja Hospital, and Western Reserve Hospice.
