Shirley Crall (nee Christy) Obituary Shirley Crall, aged 86, passed away on November 9, 2024, in Wadsworth. Born in Belmont, Ohio on November 30, 1937 to the late Estelle and Dwight Christy, Shirley was known for her immense kindness and loving nature. Her life was a testament to her devotion to her faith, her family, and her community. Shirley's caring and giving spirit was evident in every aspect of her life. She was always ready to help and care for others, expecting nothing in return. Her gentle kindness was not only contagious but also deeply cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Shirley's faith played a significant role in her life, guiding her actions and interactions. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Penny (Patrick) Perrin; son, Rusty (Ann) Crall; daughter-in-law, Susie Crall; many nieces, nephews and friends. Grandchildren; Kara (Will) Richardson, Kim (Jason) Sandor, Patrick (Lindsay Pond) Perrin, Josh Crall, Daniel (Natalie) Crall, Jeff Crall, and Russell Crall. She had 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Russell Crall; loving son, Gary Crall; and many siblings. Shirley enjoyed a rich social life filled with activities that brought joy to her and those around her. She cherished her weekly card games, crocheting, teaching Sunday School, traveling, Bible study, women's group, church, volunteering for hospice and Giving Dolls, donating baked goods to the homeless, and spending quality time with her loved ones. Professionally, Shirley retired from Morton Salt in 2000, after many years service. Though Shirley's presence will be profoundly missed, her legacy of kindness and love will continue to influence and inspire. She now rests in eternal peace and divine comfort, leaving behind a trail of love and light for all who knew her. A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held on Saturday, November 30th at 11am at Northside Christian Church in Wadsworth, Ohio. Reception to follow at the Rittman Moose Lodge.
