Sharon Lynn Minter was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 24, 1959, as the only child to parents Leo Minter Jr. and Delores Minter. She passed away on Sunday November 10, 2024, at the same time as her church’s weekly worship service.
She is survived by her mother Delores Minter and father Leo Minter Jr.; children Gregory Mitchell Jr. and Charline Minter (Jayson Hawkins); Grandchildren Jayson Hawkins Jr., Jayse Hawkins, Genesis Mitchell, Quest Mitchell, Raven Cloud-Mitchell, and Rakel Cloud-Mitchell.
Sharon graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Cleveland, Ohio in 1977. Afterwards she attended Cleveland State University for 1 year. She later obtained a Medical Assistant Certificate from The Cleveland Institute of Dental and Medical Assistants in 2004. Education was very important to Sharon, and she pushed her children to educate themselves as much as possible both in school and in life. While her children were attending college, she visited them and embraced the college experience with them as if it were her own. Throughout her career, Sharon worked as a medical transcriptionist at University Hospital and Cleveland Clinic and later retired from Marriott as a Hotel Reservation Agent. Sharon loved cooking, dancing, music, animals, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She brought a vivacious, humorous, and down to earth energy everywhere she went often making friends with a wide variety of people. Sharon was a member of the community vineyard church where she was baptized in 2017. she was also a part of the faith, hope and love bible study which held members from various churches. Sharon will be missed by all her friends and family.
