Ryan Johnson (Rock, Ryo) was born on November 30, 1974, in Atlanta, Georgia to Mary E. Johnson and Charles Walker. He was raised in Atlanta, Georgia and Akron, Ohio. Ryan was a friend and a brother to many and had a smile that could light up a room. His hugs left you knowing that you were loved.
Ryan loved drawing, dancing, and was a big E-40 fan. Spending time with family and friends was big to him, and something that he took great joy in doing.
Ryan attended North High School in Akron, Ohio, and Job Corps in Georgetown, Kentucky, where he received a brick masonry certificate. His former employers include Alside, Hilliard Construction, and he worked as Security for various establishments.
Ryan was a big fan of the Cleveland Browns and LeBron James. He was well known in North Akron and will be missed by many.
Ryan made his transition on Tuesday morning, October 3, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Calvin and Mary Jane Haslem, Sister-in-Law, Rachelle Johnson, nephew Demetrion Wilson, special father figure, Ronald Johnson, Sr. (Master), Aunt Ruthie Haslem, younger cousin, Emonnie Parham, and great-niece, Lindsey Michelle Rigby.
Ryan is survived by his mother, Mary E. Johnson; brothers Ronald (Dianne), Reginald, Ricky, Rodney (Krystal), Jermaine, Paul; sisters Rochelle and Elaina; and special brother, Larry Green; children, Anesah, Ryan Jr, Africa, and Takarra; and grandchildren, Tahj, Javier, June, and Micah; and his best friends Damon Watkins, James Hilliard, Joe Coleman, and Tray Proctor. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends.
Ryan will be remembered by all as a great brother, cousin, uncle, and friend. His smile will live on in our hearts forever.
