Ruth Ann Humbert

RUTH ANN HUMBERT- Ruth died 12/23/2023, from Acute Hypoxic respiratory failure, Aspiration Pneumonia, Influenza A and Sepsis, at Mercy- Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Canton, Ohio. Ruth was born 12/9/1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was adopted by Virginia and Gerald McClellan.

Ruth graduated from Reading High School, class of 1969. Following graduation Ruth married her high school sweetheart, Larry Roberts, who was in the military, and they moved to England, where he was stationed. Daughter Natalie was born, overseas. After coming back from England, Ruth and Larry got divorced. Ruth lived in Cincinnati, until she met George Humbert, in 1976. Ruth moved to Cuyahoga Falls and later got married to George that same year. They had a son, Nicholas, born Aug 19^th, 1978. George had 4 children from his previous marriage.

Ruth was a member of Oriental Order of Eastern Star, in Newcomerstown. She volunteered at church in the Christ’s Kitchen. She enjoyed singing in the church choir and helping out where and when she could. She loved Harry Potter and Disney. She enjoyed going to Universal in Florida and Disney. She enjoyed the time she had with her kids, grandkids, great grandkids and extended family. There was a time, since she didn’t have a lot of money for Christmas, she made movies for all the grandkids, so they would have something from her for Christmas. She loved horses and she was able to have a couple for a time. She enjoyed taking the kids out for rides. She enjoyed her animals which also included birds, dogs, cats, guinea pigs. She spent time coloring pictures for those that were sick.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband George J. Humbert, brother Pleasie Roberts and best friend Barb Holder. Ruth always said there was no step relations, they were her kids too. Ruth is survived by Natalie Kochte (Roberts)- daughter, Nicholas Humbert (Son), George Humbert  (son), Randy Humbert (son), Vicki Jones (Humbert)(daughter), Nicole Fye (Humbert)(daughter). Even though they weren’t her kids she felt like Matt Roberts and Kristopher Roberts were like her own, as well, and can’t leave out Brittney, who is Barbs, daughter from her second marriage, but we are all family here. 😊

 Grandchildren Alexandria, Samantha, Amelia, Preston, Colton, Amber, Brandi, Danyell, Tyler, Austin, Jordan and Chelsea.

Great Grand Kids- Shaylynn, Kalee, Mariah, Zaiden, Syrus, Archer, Jadyn, Hadlie, Maggie, Tayslie, Quinn, Brecklynn, Scottie, Brenden, Lacy, Olivia, Christopher, Virginia and Anna.
