Roger Eugene Adams, 75, of Ravenna passed on November 5, 2024 at Heather Knoll Nursing Home in Munroe Falls, Ohio. Roger was born on August 10, 1949, in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Punxsutawney High School in 1967 before enlisting in the United States Army, where he served in the Vietnam War. Roger moved to Ohio years later, where he met his wife, Deborah (Brown) Adams. They were married in May 1981, and raised three children together. Roger also had two children from a previous marriage. He was a loving father to them all. Roger was a man of many passions. He was an avid reader, with a particular fondness for westerns by Louis L’Amour. He found joy in gardening, often sharing homegrown vegetables from multiple home and community gardens with friends and family. Roger loved fishing, a hobby that brought him peace and many cherished memories. Roger enjoyed playing card games, using them as a fun and loving way to teach his children complex math and strategy. Roger always had a candy dish ready for everyone as they left his home or room. In addition to his hobbies, Roger worked as a production supervisor for many years, where he was known for his dedication and hard work. His family, spread across the states, always remained close to his heart. Roger's legacy of kindness, love, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Roger is survived by Deborah and his children Katrina Edenfield, Regina (Kurt) Hirschfeld, Caryl (Luis) Montero-Adams, Rachel (Paul Walker) Adams, and Carter Adams. He was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren Sophia Adams-Mahaffey, Jasper Alexander, Remington Montero-Adams, Amilynn Hirschfeld, Kathleen Hirschfeld, John Hirschfeld, Craig Hirschfeld, Kaylyn (Derek) Cox, and Andrew Means, and three great-grandchildren Olivia, Declan, and Ruby. He is survived by his siblings Dennis (Carol) Adams, Kathleen (Keith) Kennedy, Margo (John) Craven, and Paula (Wayne) Sylvis, goddaughter Jaimie Himes, and beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Roger is preceded in death by his parents Clair Eugene and Helen Elizabeth (Snyder) Adams, and his sons-in-law Kenneth Akers and Roger Mahaffey. A celebration of life will be held on January 4, 2025 at 1:00pm at the Jackson Township Community Building (10613 Mahoning Avenue, North Jackson, Ohio 44451).
