Rodney R. DeFago

Rodney Ray DeFago, 51 of Akron, Ohio, passed peacefully at City Hospital on September 20, 2023 after a multi-year battle with COPD.  Rodney was a father, brother, and a friend.  He never failed to share his positive demeanor with his loved ones, and did everything in his power to make you laugh when you were down or make you cry with his sentimental remarks.  He wore his heart on his sleeve and never hesitated to let you know what you meant to him.  Rodney was a long-standing Cleveland Browns fan, and also enjoyed playing pool, golf and fishing.  His laughter and energy will be greatly missed.

Rodney is preceded in death by his father Delmore Baker; mother Emma Jean Bowers; step father Jim Bowers; and brother Daniel Baker.  He is survived by his two sons, Hunter DeFago and Austin DeFago, who meant everything to him; step mother Rose Baker; siblings Denise (Edward) Sees, Diane Baker, and Lorene Baker.  Rodney also had many nieces, nephews, and close friends who he adored.  Per his wishes, cremation has taken place.  Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186.
