Richard Eugene Evans

Richard E. Evans of Streetsboro, Ohio passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024, in Highland Heights, Ohio, just shy of his 87th birthday with his son Robert and Daughter in Law Dawn by his side. Richard was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Born on December 2, 1937, in McKeesport, PA. Richard proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1957-1961 as an Instrument Repair Man. After his Military service he worked in Aviation, Manufacturing and Residential Real Estate. Richard enjoyed Reading, taking long walks in the park and spending his winters in Florida. He also loved spending time with his family and watching his grandsons at their sporting events. Richard was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous since June 11, 2001, and truly believed in the saying “Do the next right thing “

 Richard is survived by his devoted son, Robert, and daughter-in-law, Dawn, of Chardon. He was a loving and proud grandfather to his grandsons, Anthony and Joseph, with whom he shared many cherished moments. He is also survived by his son Michael Evans.

 He is preceded in death by his parents Reese and Ethel Evans, Brother, Reese Evans, and three sisters Elizabeth, Marjorie and Virginia.

 Friends will be received from 11am-12pm on Saturday December 14, 2024, at the Hilton Garden Inn, 8971 Wilcox Drive Twinsburg, Ohio 44087 with a luncheon immediately following.

 Inurnment will be private at Western Reserve Gardens in Chesterland, Ohio.

 We would like to Thank the staff at Aberdeen Crossings in Highland Heights and Miracle City Hospice for taking such good care of him these past two months.

 In lieu of flowers the Family requests Donations to be made to Akron Area Intergroup 775 North Main St. Akron, Ohio 44310. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
