Reginald Earl Green Sr

Reginald Earl Green Sr., 76, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in Beachwood, Ohio.

 Reginald is preceded in death by his father, Herman Green, mother, Annie Mae Green, and brothers Tyrone Green and Collins Green. He is survived by his children: Reginald (Denise) Green II, and Rolanda (Audley) Brown. His siblings also survive him: Yvonne Averitte, Phoenix, AZ; Leslie Green, Niagara Falls, NY; Gloria (Calvin) Barnes, Decatur, GA; Lennie (Maxine) Green, Tallmadge, OH; Brenda Chapman, Columbus, OH; Miriam Green, Akron, OH.; Aaron Green, Akron, OH; Gerald (Donna) Green, Lawrenceville, GA; Tonette Green, Akron, OH; and his grandchildren. He is also survived by several special friends: Natalie Degraffenreid, Patricia Chisolm, Sandra Roebuck, Bert and Richard Jones, and Ronald Weiss. 

 Reginald Green Sr. graduated from Central Hower High School, earned his Bachelor of Arts in Art Education, and taught for 20 years as an art teacher with Akron Public Schools. He enjoyed playing his string bass in Sunday church services at Arlington Church of God and The Chapel. He was a passionate lover of art, music, his children, and his grandchildren. 

 Visitation will be held on August 16th at 10 am and a memorial service will follow at 11 am at Arlington Church of God, 539 S. Arlington Street, Akron, OH 44306.
