Raymond Gerald Golden

Raymond G. Golden “A great man”, 85, passed away December 2, 2023.  Ray was born November 5, 1938 in Akron, the son of the late Victor and Leola Golden.  He graduated from Tallmadge High School, where he loved playing football.  Ray always enjoyed watching football and watching his daughter play softball.  He retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company Rim Plant.  Ray was a Navy Veteran, a Shriner, a member of the Scottish Rite, and a 32nd Degree Mason.  He was also an avid hunter and won the Buckeye Big Buck Award in 1997.  

In addition to his parents, Ray is preceded in death by his daughter Victoria Miller.  Ray loved his wife of 54 years, Susan; daughters Jeri, Terri, Heather, and Amber; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Saturday, December 9, 2023 at First Church of God in Tallmadge (464 Northeast Avenue).  He will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
