Rae Elaine Brown

Rae Elaine Brown, 64, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to so many, died peacefully on April 7, 2023, at home in Akron, Ohio. She had been diagnosed with lung cancer just 66 days earlier on February 1st. 

Rae, born March 10, 1959, grew up in Ridgway and later Linesville, Pennsylvania. She was an athletic, artistic and fun-loving person throughout her life. She was an avid cinephile, an accomplished gymnast through high school, found her calling in stained glass making countless works of art, and later became a friend to all while bartending at Olive Garden. 

Rae is survived by her children, Tye (Eileen) Brown, Melissa Brown, and Leif (Yesenia) Brown, her siblings, Steve (Barbara) Bishoff, Peggy (John) Jackson, Kevin Bishoff, and Drew Bishoff, her grandchildren, Campbell, Marlowe, Willow, Lottie, Henley, and Kai and her former spouse, Ed Brown. 

Rae is preceded in death by her parents, Clayton (Betty Rae) Bishoff and Wilda (Don) Morian. 

A private family service to celebrate her life is planned for the summer of 2023.
