PEGGY E. PEARCE
99 years
Peggy Eileen Pearce was an only child born in Waxahachie, Texas on June 5, 1923, to parents Alexander McCowan Angus and Mamie Lee Copeland. Peggy married her high school sweetheart Rufus (Toppy) Pearce, on November 16, 1942. They moved to Dayton, Ohio Wright-Patterson AFB where he was stationed. Then off to California for the next 60 plus years where he worked for Boeing and McDonnell Douglas. He invented the first wind tunnel and was proud of his ability to work on President Reagan’s Anti-Ballistic Missile Program. She resided in Silver Lake, Ohio since 2019 with extended adopted family “The Morgan Sisters” – 45 family members within a 5-mile radius of one another.
Our beloved mother, grandmother, and dearest friend Peggy E. Pearce went home to be with our Lord, on November 10, 2022, at the young age of 99. She was a wonderful, caring mother, best friend, knew no strangers, had an enthusiastic sense of humor, she was an amazing savvy woman of all time. Smart, witty, kind, and generous sharing her knowledge overall and her passion and work in the republican party. She held an audience of stories that she would tell about her work in politics. Peggy was the first women Charter Member of the Republican Presidential Tasks Force given to her by the founder Ronald Regan in 1982. She worked beside Governor Reagan, President Gerald Ford, President Richard Nixon and was a well-loved member of public relations, multiple fund raiser of the community in Orange County, Ca. Including homes at John Wayne, Buddy Ebsen, Walt Disney, and Chuck Connors to mention a few.
Preceded in death are her parents, husband Toppy of 68 years, and son Robert. She leaves beautiful and cherished memories for her son Kendal (Tex) resides in Ohio since 2022, daughter in laws Beth Ohio, Alberta, Ca. Grandchildren Evette, Tx., Shane-Iowa, Carla, Irais, Lizette - Ca. Two great grandchildren – Ca.
Celebration of life will be at the Northlawn Memorial Gardens located at 4723 State Road Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44264 on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at 1:00 p/m. Reception to follow in Silver Lake, Ohio.
We will sadly miss our Peggy, a beautiful soul inside and out!
