Patricia Ann Wigington, 90, of Akron, Ohio passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday October 6, 2022, following a 10-year fight with Alzheimer's. She was born February 12, 1932 in Logan, West Virginia, the daughter of Delphia Williams and John B. Chafin.
Patricia lived a very long and fulfilling life. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great grandsons. Spending the holidays together was her favorite, especially Thanksgiving. Patricia also cherished her childhood memories of growing up on Cow Creek in West Virginia. She was very proud of where she was from. Throughout her life she maintained a deep faith and attended church. She was a very hard-working woman retiring after 30 years at Ametek Lamb. She will be greatly missed by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents John B. and Delphia; her siblings Curtis, Jean, Revia, and Jimmie Gail (Granville). She is survived by her children Michael (Janell) Wigington, Chris Wigington, and Rebecca (Bob) Coffee; grandchildren Tricia Wigington (Mike), Nathan (Lauren) Wigington, Jonathan (Krystall) Thompson, and Angela (Jake) Renick; great-grandsons Jude, Lennon, Lincoln, Brayden, and Jett.
The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice, The Gardens at Cuyahoga Falls, and all of the home caregivers for the great care she received.
A short memorial service will be held at Adams Mason Funeral Home 791 E. Market St. Akron, OH 44305 on Thursday October 13, 2022, from 4:30-5:30 pm.
Memorial Donations may be made in Patricia's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
