Patricia Ann Gilbert

Patricia Ann Gilbert, age 62, of Freedom Township, Ohio passed peacefully on the morning of Saturday October 19th, 2024 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. 

Patti was born on March 18th, 1962 in Cleveland, OH. She was the youngest daughter of the late William Swansiger Sr., & Jane Esther Swansiger (Horner), who Patti cared for until her mother’s final days. 

Patti graduated high school in 1980, and loved attending Rock concerts with friends in her free time. She traveled a little throughout her twenties, and then settled back down in Bedford, OH. That’s when she met Robert F. Gilbert Sr. They married on March 28th, 1997 and celebrated 27 beautiful years together. Throughout those years they were blessed with the births of their two beautiful daughters, Elizabeth and Samantha. 

One thing Patti was most passionate about was the love she has for her family. She loved those around her fiercely, especially her two girls. Patti was one of the most determined, hardworking, strong, and most loving individuals one could ever meet. She worked for 25 years as a server for Crackle Barrel, serving smiles and laughs everyday. She loved to spread joy at work by bringing in sweet treats for her coworkers, known for her yearly Halloween candy bowls. 

Patti is survived by; Her Husband, Robert F. Gilbert Sr., Her two Daughters, Elizabeth Bilski (Gilbert) & Samantha Tyrrell (Gilbert), Her Step Son: Robert F. Gilbert the second. 

Patti did not want any funeral services, nor did she want others to mourn her departure. Instead, her immediate family will be holding a small celebration of life to honor her memory. Patti asked to be cremated, and returned home to her family. 

Instead of flowers, the family would to ask that you make a donation to a charity of your choice or plant a tree in Patti’s memory.
