Oscar Parmer jr. was born in Akron, Ohio, July 12,1969. He was a member of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church as a youth where he sang In the children’s choir he also was a member of his uncle's bishop Charles J Parmer church at True Deliverance church ministries where he also sang in the adult choir Oscar presently was a active member of Vision of God ministry under bishop J Spurlock where he served in the men’s ministry. Oscar was a student at Buchtel high school where he won trophies in the talent shows he also won trophies at the city’s Easter talent shows for breakdancing & rapping to know Junie was to love him he was one of a kind for sure. Junie loved to take you back down memory lane so here’s one for him. When Junie was 3 yrs old he saved his dad and uncle from a house fire. They were living in a duplex house on Euclid Ave where Oscar jr. and his mom and dad reside. Also his uncle Charles and his family lived on the lower level. During the early morning a fire had broke out! Oscar’s mom attended Akron University during the mornings and his dad work 3rd shift at BF Goodrich so he was sleep but Junie woke up and seen the fire and went to his dad waking him up yelling daddy daddy it’s a fire! Oscar woke up and seen nothing but smoke he then scooped up Junie and proceeded to go to the lower level where he alarmed his brother and his family and they all made it to safety this heroic act saved many lives that day. He made the front page of the Akron beacon Journal as well.
Oscar jr. is proceeded in death by his mother Deborah Rice and grandmother Marian Allen. He is survived by his father, Oscar Parmer sr. of (Inglewood California), Step father Sellywood Rice, sister Chance Rice, brother Marlon Parmer of (Phoenix Arizona) nieces, and nephews Malik Rice, Ashawnte Rice, Kaliyah Workmen, Mekhi Rice, Nevaeh Little, and a hosts of uncles, aunts, cousins ,friends and long time class mates, Oscar Parmer jr. was loved by so many. Oscar was a kind person that was dedicated to his family. He possessed a smile of gold and a heart of platinum, Oscar Parmer jr. will truly be missed.
