Nancy Jane Hoskins

Nancy Ingram Hoskins, age 84, passed away on October 17, 2024.

 A life resident of the Akron area, Nancy graduated from Revere High School in 1958, and attended Heidelberg College where she studied music. She spent her working career at the Firestone Tire & Rubber Company in the Benefits Department, retiring after 38 years of service.

 Nancy was known for her kindness, generosity, laughter and joyous personality. She cherished the relationships she had with her countless friends. Nancy loved to travel, and took many trips to Canada with friends, enjoying time on the porch at the cabin at Bob’s Lake, where she loved watching the loons, osprey and otters frolic in the lake.

 She loved music and enjoyed singing in the church choir and Hospitality Chorus. Nancy was an active member of Firestone Park Christian Church, where she faithfully served as an elder, trustee, and in many other capacities. She was a former member of Ghent Christian Church. Nancy was a patron of the arts, and loved attending plays and concerts with her friends. 

 Preceded in death by her mother, Stella (Ingram) Mullins; stepfathers, Sherwood Ingram and “Papa Joe” Mullins, best friend, Brenda Sacratini; cousin, Ed Fisher, Nancy will be missed by her many friends, and especially her dear friends and neighbors, Kathy and Frank Walker and Dee Gartman. 

 There will be a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Bailey Road Christian Church, 3200 Bailey Rd., Cuyahoga Falls, with Pastor Rich Ferris officiating. Special music will be provided by Nancy’s friend, Chelsea Berry. Private inurnment will be held at Greensburg Cemetery.
