Michael “Shag” Orock born June 4th, 1948 passed away January 1st, 2023 with family surrounding him. Michael was a 1966 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School. Michael had many passions, hobbies, and talents. He owned his magic/ costume shop, was a professional clown, and was a Star Trek enthusiast. He served as a draft counselor in the Vietnam War, loved a good protest, and always had something to say about anything. Michael had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. He was often spending his spare time researching topics of interest, reading books, or browsing on eBay. He enjoyed watching movies and listening to his favorite music. He loved spending his time outdoors, cuddled up with one of his pets, or drinking a good cup of coffee. Michael was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. Called Popeye by his grandchildren, Klag by others, and Shag by many, he will be missed by all who ever met him. He was preceded in death by his wife Roberta, son James, parents Helen and Meade, and his great-grandson Ryan. He leaves behind his sister Maureen, daughter Melissa (Edward), son Jason (Chrissie), and his grandchildren Alexandra (Jason), Stephanie (Jesse), Sara, Cody, and Wyatt. Along with his great-grandchildren Hayden, Riley, Jayce, and Callie. He is also survived by his three beloved friends Rose Castner, Lee Ashton, and Georgian Fawcett along with many nieces and nephews. Shag lived life to the fullest and met it head-on without apology.
