Michael Alan Holskey

AKRON: Michael Alan Holskey, 52, of Akron, passed away at his residence March 22 2024.  He was born January 2, 1972, in Zanesville, OH, a son of the late Blaine B. Jr. and Paulette Dunn Holskey. He attended The Chapel in Akron.  He enjoyed playing guitar and listening to music.  He loved his church, family and friends.

 Among his surviving family are Brenda Holskey; daughters, Victoria (Justin) Britton of Akron, Josie Holskey and Aja Holskey of Barberton; son Austin Butler of Columbus; brother, Blaine "Butch" (Stacy) Holskey of Zanesville; and sisters, Ellen (Darron) Lee of New Port Richey, FL and Amanda Blankenship of Williamstown, WV. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Bob and Alice Dunn; paternal grandparents Blaine and Mabel Holskey Sr.; sister Kristina Holskey and brother Matt Blankenship.

Funeral will be Friday, April 5, 2024, at The Chapel in Akron, 135 Fir Hill, Akron, OH  44304.  Visitation starts at 2:30pm. Service will begin at 4:00pm.

 A celebration of life will be held in Zanesville, OH (date to be announced later) where he was born and raised with significant family and childhood friends still residing in the area.
