Louise Geraldine DeVaughn

1933-2025

Louise G. "Gerrie" DeVaughn, born on January 5, 1933, passed away peacefully, February 22, 2025.  Gerrie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all that knew her. She enjoyed music, cooking and baking, car rides and day trips, and flower gardening. Most of all, Gerrie loved her family, extended family, and friends. She graduated in 1951 from Stow High School in Stow, Ohio. Gerrie enjoyed a successful career in customer service as a bank teller at Old Phoenix and First Merit Banks in Sharon Center, Ohio, for more than 20 years. She was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Seville, Ohio and then Saint Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sharon Center, Ohio.  She enjoyed being part of the church choir at both parishes.  Gerrie was preceded in death by parents, James and Augusta Nielsen; her loving husband of 63 years, Robert “Bob” DeVaughn.  She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey and Michael (Amanda) DeVaughn; granddaughters, Melanie (David) Garnes and Megan DeVaughn; and her sister, Karen Frampton.  There are no calling hours planned at this time.
