Lois Jean Hunter, 75, of Akron, Ohio passed away November 28, 2022, following a long battle with Parkinson's disease. She was born November 7, 1947, in Barberton, Ohio, the daughter of Jeremiah and Esther (Mobley) Emery. On March 24, 1979, she married James Richard Hunter. Together they shared 38 years of marriage.
Lois graduated from John R. Buchtel High School in Akron in 1964. She was employed by AT&T for 34 years. She attended Crossroads Bible Fellowship Church, where she served as a deacon, office assistant, and in women's ministry. Lois was a member of Westside Koinonia and a founding member of Inspiration Koinonia.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents Jerry and Esther Emery, brother Owen Emery, husband Thomas James Koffroth, and husband James Richard Hunter. She is survived by daughter Karen and son-in-law Glenn Griffiths, stepson Rick Hunter and wife Beth, stepdaughter Susan Pirkl and son-in-law John, six step grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and beloved cat Grace.
