Leonard Frank Trefny Jr., a loving son, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, took his final bow on February 3, 2025, in Alliance, Ohio, after a courageous battle with small cell cancer. Born on March 25, 1964, in Cleveland, Ohio, Leonard filled the world with warmth and kindness, leaving behind a legacy cherished by many.

An accomplished man, Leonard earned his master’s degree in social work after graduating from Cleveland State University and Cuyahoga Community College. His career was marked by a deep commitment to service, having worked for the Board of Elections and the Census Bureau in Cleveland. He approached each task with diligence and compassion, imbuing every responsibility with a sense of purpose that touched the lives of those around him.

Leonard was a man who drew people into his embrace with his loving nature. He took joy in simple pleasures, thriving outdoors where he could fish and revel in the splendor of nature. Live concerts, bonfires, and gatherings with loved ones filled his life with happiness. Leonard was not just a participant in life; he was a teacher, sharing wisdom, laughter, and love that has left indelible marks on countless hearts.

He is survived by his three devoted children, Alexander Trefny, Amber Trefny, and Andrew Trefny, who carry forward his spirit in their lives. His family continued to grow through his six granddaughters and one grandson, along with a beloved great-grandson, each of whom brought immense joy to his heart.
