Layman Bowick

Layman "Bo Pete" Bowick passed away December 31, 2024. He was born October 3, 1957 in Akron, Ohio to the parents of Lucille Farrey- Bowick and Henry "Honey" Young Sr.  He is proceeded in death by his Mother Lucille Farrey- Bowick, Father Henry Young, Wife Marilyn Reaves Bowick, and Brother Fred Bowick Sr.  He is survived by his son Anthony "Mont" Reaves (Crystal), Sister Yvonne Bowick, Brother Marlin Bowick Sr. Three Grandchildren Chequice Jones, Laneiqua Reaves, and Anthony Curry.  Eight Great Grandchildren Ziiayahn Jones, Janelle Jones, Egypt Jones, Mariah Jones, Makensie Jones, Ja'ceyon Jones, Ashton Curry, and Caleb White. Special Neice Ja'Mesha Bowick, and Special Nephew James Bowick. A host of neices, nephews, cousins, and relatives 

 Layman was a lifetime resident of Akron, Ohio.  He attended Akron Public Schools. He went on to obtain his G.E.D.  In 1976 he enlisted in the United States Army receiving an Honorable Discharge.  He married the love of his life Marilyn Reaves Bowick.  He worked various odd jobs throughout his life.  Layman was well known and loved in his community. He loved being with and spending time with his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.  He enjoyed traveling with his wife, all sports, being surrounded by goodtimes, family, and friends.  Layman was a one of a kind spirit. He truly believed in living his life to the fullest. He was the life of the party. He never missed an opportunity to make every moment memorable. Leaving no moments in his life uncherished.
