Laurie Ann Betzhold

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Laurie Ann Betzhold, who left us peacefully on 12/23/2024 at the age of 76. A loving and devoted mother, she was a constant source of warmth, positivity, laughter and love in the lives of her three children: Lindsey, Ryan and Tyler (Diane); grandchildren: Ella, Gabriella and Fiona; and sibling: Wendy Byrne Mayer. She was the kind of person who always saw the best in people, offering a kind word or a helping hand whenever needed.

Born and raised in Kent, Ohio with her four siblings. Graduated from the Ohio State Universitywith a sociology bachelor’s degree. Her professional life she owned her own tax accounting software company ACA for many years. Later retiring in 2010. Mom enjoyed scrap booking, needlepoint, the ocean and most of all family. Mom had a welcoming spirit that made everyone feel like family, and her infectious smile and joyful laugh will never be replaced. She was the epitome of kindness, always ready to give and never asking for anything in return. Her unwavering love for her children and her deep loyalty to her teams, the Cleveland Indians and the Ohio State Buckeyes – were just a few of the many things that made her so special.

Though she is no longer with us, her spirit, her love, and her positivity will live on forever in our hearts. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten. No one could ever take her place, and her memory will continue to brighten our lives every day.
