Kenneth Michael Moriana Jr

Kenneth Michael Moriana Jr.'s  sun rose August 25, 1959 in Berea, Ohio and his sun set August 7, 2024 in Akron, Ohio, after a brief illness. Mike lived most of his life in the Wadsworth area.

 He is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth M. Moriana Sr, and Judith (Guth) Moriana, longtime partner Carolyn Flinn and stepson Jesse Perkins Sr.

 Mike is survived by his sisters Jacci (Sid) Vachek, Toni (Joey) Salomone , Stepson Paul (Heidi) Flohr, grandchildren Jesse Perkins Jr., Naomi Flohr, and Jay Perkins. Nephews Brian (Suzi) Vachek and Jake (Dayna) Vachek, Lifetime friends Chester, Carl, Dave, and Tim and many other loved ones. Mike also leaves his best feline friend Chip. 

 Mike was a hard worker and held a variety of jobs over the years. At a young age he committed to raising Paul and Jesse as his own. He taught them manners, how to fix things, how to fish, how to eat spaghetti the Italian way, and the value of hard work. Mike bragged about Jacci and Sid’s boys often. His nephews remember Uncle Mike as always having a smile on his face and a giggle mingling between his words. He knew how to have a good time and was intentional about creating cherished memories for all those lucky enough to call him a friend. 

 Mike cared for his grandfather, Henry Guth, until he passed away. Mike enjoyed time with his sisters and made many memories with them. Over the last year Mike appreciated the care from Jacci, Sid, and Tim. 

Cremation has taken place.
