Karen S. Smolk-Warren departed this Life Thursday 3/30/2023. She was the Loving Wife Husband Gregory, Loving Mother of Rebecca Nader, Matthew Smolk, and Loving Grandmother of Nathanael, Daniel, Michael, and adopted Daughters Britni Marinelli, and Tina Wiland. She was also the devoted Daughter of her Mother Helen McClain who preceded her in Death. A Lifelong Jehovah's Witness she is now safely in Her Heavenly Father Jehovah's Memory awaiting the Promise of the Resurrection. Karen grew up in Carmichaels, Pa. the Daughter and Granddaughter of Coal Miners. She attended School and High School there Graduating in 1964. Moving to Ohio she found Secretarial Work. Eventually she found Work on the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad rising to Secretary to the Division Manager. She relished her Railroad days, but left for a job at Kent State University where she worked as a Receptionist for Radio Station WKSU 89.7 for over 20 years retiring to take care of her 3 Grandsons, Nathanael, Daniel, and Michael. Donations in her memory should be made to University Hospital-Cleveland.
