Joe Mastnick

Joe Mastnick, age 77 of Massillon, OH died on June 17,2023 at Lifecare Hospice of Wooster, OH. Joe graduated from Washington High School in Massillon, OH in 1965. After High School he served in the US Navy, stationed in San Diego, CA and Kodiak, AK. He had been employed at Tyson Roller Bearing in Massillon, OH and retired from Gerstenslager in Wooster, OH.

He was a founding member of the Muskingum Trail Sportsman Club 47 years ago. He was also a longtime member of the North Lawrence Fish and Game Club. He enjoyed his time there both as a member and a volunteer. He took pleasure in a variety of shooting sports as well as hunting all types of game throughout his lifetime.

He loved his Black Labradors over the years, Mac, Woody, Reba, and Willow. He will be missed by many family members and dear friends (including those he enjoyed getting into "trouble" with at the Maple Leaf Tavern).

Surviving are his son Nathaniel (Jolene) Mastnick, Brothers: John (Jill) Mastnick, Steve (Mary) Mastnick, Damian (Sherry) Mastnick, and Sisters: Holly Mastnick, and Jennifer (Eliot) Cook. He was preceeded in death by his parents Edward and Jacqueline Mastnick.

Cremation arrangements are being taken care of by Adams Mason Funeral Home Akron, OH. A celebration of life will be held in the near future.
