Johnny Lee Smith Jr.

Johnny Lee Smith Jr., 56, born May 18, 1967 in Akron, Ohio to Johnnie and Betty (nee Burke) went home to be with the Lord on January 15, 2024.  He passed away at home with his wife at his side.  Johnny had been sick for several years.  He was a strong Pittsburgh Steelers fan.  He worked construction and as an auto mechanic most of his life.

Johnny is survived by his mother Betty Smith; his wife Karen Smith (nee Harris), his daughter Kelly Crosby (nee Harris); his two stepsons Paul Thornton III and Clayton Thornton; his grandsons Jesse Hill (Stacy and Seth Vance; his sisters Betsy Garden (nee Smith); his brother Joey Smith; his aunt Carol; and numerous cousins.    Johnny is preceded in death by his dad Johnnie Smith and his grandma and grandpa Smith.

Vistation will be 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Park United Methodist Church (2308 24th Street SW, Akron, Ohio 44314), where funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 PM.  Pastor David Haydu.  Johnny will be laid to rest at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186
