John Michael Polascak, 65, passed away after a long and courageous battle with esophageal cancer on March 2, 2023. John was born on September 3, 1957, in Akron, Ohio to the late Joseph W. and Marie I. Polascak. John spent his life being a very accomplished self-employed handy man who had a reputation of always helping others in need. In his free time, aside from helping people with work, John loved to fish, hunt, and trap. John was an avid gun lover and collector his entire life, loved Jack Daniels, and was a proud Tennessee Squire. John also loved his dogs very much.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his brothers-in-law Gary Garkovich and Gregory Falatok, and his best friend Tommy Coleman. John is survived by his sisters Donna Falatok, and Pamela (Karl) Fickey; nieces Angela (Shaun) Berringer, and Julie (Scott Cooper) Garkovich; nephew Joey Falatok, and numerous neighborhood friends. Per John’s wishes, cremation will take place and he will be laid to rest with his parents at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Randolph, Ohio.
