Jettie Janice McGowan

Jettie Janice McGowan passed away peacefully on Tuesday; August 13th surrounded by her family.

 Jettie was born in Akron, Ohio to the late Louis and Mary McGowan. In her early years, she graduated from North High School. She became a devout servant of the Lord and attended Grace Cathedral Church for many years of her life. Jettie had a love for gospel music, singing and cooking specialty dishes. She retired from Evant Inc. after over 20 years of taking care of residents whom she loved dearly.

She is now reunited in Heaven with her parents Louis and Mary McGowan.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Veronica Calloway. She is survived by her daughter Latoni Harris, granddaughter Asia Wasmer (Cory Wasmer); sisters Yavonda Daugherty (Leroy Daugherty) and Tessie Douglass-Landon (Jaford Landon); niece Deandra Henderson (William Turner); nephews Robert Douglass and Harold Foster; great-nieces, Mikayla Foster and Trinidi Foster and great-nephew Vaughn Henderson and great-great nephew Zachai Saunders; along with many other cousins, family, and friends.  Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186
