Geraldine Helen VanEtten

Geraldine H. "Gerry" VanEtten, 84, passed away March 16, 2025.  She was born in New York City on June 5, 1940, the daughter of the late Louise Thifault.  In her early years, she worked as a seamstress and in her later years she enjoyed puzzles, and collecting dream catchers and all things Native American to celebrate her Cherokee heritage.  Her favorite flower was a rose.  Gerry will always be remembered a lady who was strong willed with a feisty personality.  Her family was blessed with a brief time before she passed, when she woke up and visited with them and shared how much she loved and cared for them.  In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her daughter Cheryl; and sisters Betty and Rosie.  Gerry is survived by her husband Charles VanEtten; daughters Belle Hernandez, Linda Peavey, and Leeann Hodge; sons Timothy Peavey and Christopher Hodge; as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.  Per her wishes, cremation will take place.  Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186
