Gerald Joseph Paradis, Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. He was born Janary 16, 1933 to parents Napolean and Adele Paradis.
Gerald Paradis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and overall a noble man with a big heart that extended friendship to all that came in contact with him. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served April 22, 1952 until April 18 1956 during the Korean War, where he was awarded the Purple Heart, International Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Medal and China Service Medal.
Following his military service, Gerald didn’t stop there, he continued working as a devoted provider for his family until he retired at the age of 80.
Besides spending time with family, Gerald enjoyed fishing, crossword searches, and watching sports. He was a diehard fan of the Cleveland Browns, Guardians, and the Cavaliers. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife of 68 years Connie Rae Paradis, daughter Terri, grandson little Danny, Mother-in-law Maudie and eight siblings. He is survived by his children Jerry (Renee), Danny (Bev), Greg (Carol), Launa Paradis, sisters-in-law Linda(Jim) Marks, Landy (Ben) Toris, and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the Adams Mason Funeral Home (791 E. Market St.), where a Celebration of Gerald's Life will immediately follow at 2:00 PM. Pastor Dwayne Ray officiating. Military rites will be performed 10:30 AM Friday at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, where Gerald will be laid to rest with his wife.
