Garland Webster Gibson Sr.

Garland W. Gibson Sr., 67, passed away October 30, 2022.  He was born in Akron on April 29, 1955, the son of Robert and Elsie (Hill) Gibson.  Garland graduated from Revere High School in 1974, where he received his Eagle Scout Award his senior year.  He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged.  Garland served as a deputy sheriff and retired at the level of Sergeant. 

Garland is preceded in death by his father Robert Gibson and his brother Alan Gibson.  He is survived by his mother Elsie (Hill) Gibson; sister Jean (Gibson) Ruble; children Garland W. Gibson Jr.; Jillian (Gibson) Krebs and her husband Cody Krebs, Ashley (Gibson) Jones and her husband Josh Jones, Emery Gibson, and Franklin Gibson; grandchildren Lynn M. Jones, Trinity Mahoney, Annette McBurney, Ally Jones, and Cody Krebs Jr.  Per his wishes, private family visitation and services have taken place Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the Adams Mason Funeral Home.  He will be laid to rest with military honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home.
