Frank Schulmeister Jr., 78, passed away August 25, 2023.  He was born December 27, 1944 in Austria, the son of the late Frank and Anna Schulmeister.  He served his country in the U.S. Army for three years.  Frank later retired from Alcon Tool after 33 years service.  He will always be remembered as “Crazy Frank”, and even though could be stubborn at times from his heritage, everyone loved him for being such a good hearted person and an all around good guy.  In his free time, he loved to fish, hunt, ride his motorcycle and listen to country western and old time music.  He loved his dogs, tending to his garden and canning vegetables.  Frank was a devoted husband to his wife of 19 years, Kathleen Schulmeister.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Rose Jones; brother Fred Schulmeister; and nephews David Jones and Steven Schulmeister.  Frank is survived by his loving wife Kathleen; sister Elizabeth Patterson of Oklahoma; daughters Tonya McIntyre and Debra (Denny) Sallmayers; grandson Zachery McIntyre; step daughters Melanie (Robert) Detweiler of Oregon; two step grandsons Adam and Robert Detweiler; step son Robert Bower; step son William Louthian; and step grandson Jessie Louthian; step son Michael Louthian; step granddaughter Cheyanne Louthian; step great grandson Noah Novak; nephews Donny Jones and Tom (Vicky) Jones; niece Jean Ann (Tony) Murdocco; as well as many great nieces and nephews; and great great nieces and nephews; and friends.  A Celebration of life will be held Saturday September 16, 2023, at 1pm at 915 N. Main Street Akron, Ohio 44310. Parking is available behind the building on Oakland Ave.  Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home.
