Evett Michelle Brooks

Evett Michelle Brooks had an unquenchable hunger for adventure, undeniable voracity for new experiences, a seemingly ever-present smile, and the propensity to seek out the silver lining in any given situation. She was a wordsmith who wanted to share her experiences, knowledge and stories.

Evett would say that, Awesome, had blessed this world with her presence on July 23rd, 1978, - she bravely fought cancer, twice, but lost her battle just 8 days shy of her 45th birthday, July 15th, 2023.

Beloved daughter, mother, wife and friend. 

Evett will be joining her three children in death and will be survived by her children Ethan, Ilesha, and Jaylin; her siblings Jonathan, Everett Jr., Zachary, Ian and Rachel; her father Everett Freeman, her mother Jonnie West Neibert and wife Leslie Delong. 

Evett was born in Cadiz, Ohio so we have decided to hold her memorial service at the American Legion Post 34, in honor of her 14 years of service in the U.S. Army.

Loved in Alaska for 14 years.  

Evett lived for adventure and brought joy to so many lives that she touched. 

Memorial service will be August 7, 2023, at 12:00 time located at The American Legion Post 34.  336 East Spring Street Cadiz, OH 43970.
