Eva Mae Brown

Eva Mae Brown, 93, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side.

Eva was born on May 12, 1931, in Akron, Ohio. She grew up in Akron & Deerfield, Ohio. She graduated from Deerfield High School, in 1950. After high school, Eva attended Peoples Hospital School of Nursing /The University of Akron. Eva was the matriarch of her family, very independent most of her life, raised her children by herself and never asked anyone for anything. She was a hard worker & worked various jobs at well-known restaurants, & nursing homes. She loved babies and children & in her younger years was a preschool teacher at Manchester’s Nursery School, Brownie Leader, babysitter, and housekeeper for many families. She loved to travel and lived in: Arizona, California, Chicago, Kansas, Oklahoma, Ohio & Texas. The past 23 years she lived in Ohio and the last 7 years with her devoted daughter Angela.

Eva loved life, the Lord, Christmas, sweets, polka music, buffets, yard sales, watching the birds & bunnies out in the yard and the beautiful colors of Fall leaves. Her favorite tv shows were westerns, Heartland, & Antique Road Show. Her greatest loves, however, were for her children and grandchildren. Eva was kind, generous, loving, and loved sending postcards to her family/friends and receiving them.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Paul & Eva (Luckl) Brown, and brother, Robert Brown. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Angela Brown; sons, David Brown, & Daniel Brown; brother, Paul Brown; grandchildren; Ashley Thompson, Jennifer Brown, Kayla Brown, Stephanie Brown, & Terra Brown. She also leaves a host of cousins, nieces, nephews & best friend, Janet Lively of Kansas.

Per Eva’s wishes there will be no funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held by the family later. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
