Dorothy E. Brown

Dorothy E. Brown, 87, passed away April 18, 2024.  She was born in Akron on August 26, 1936, the daughter of the late Arthur and Dorothy Cain.  Dorothy will always be remembered for her generosity.  She was a huge Elvis fan, loved sweets, and enjoyed spending time with family.  In her free time she enjoyed camping, crocheting, and going to the casino.  She was also a longtime member of the Orioles and Hibernians.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband John W. Brown; brothers Dave and Art Cain; sisters Mirl, Margie and Elma Cain; and her longtime constant companion Ray Leidel.  Dorothy is survived by her children Don (Michele) Petush and Tambra Petush; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.  The family will receive friends and share stories 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at the Adams Mason Funeral Home (791 East Market Street), followed by a procession to Hillside Memorial Park, where she will be laid to rest with her husband.  Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186
