Diane L. Snider

Diane L. (Bishop) Snider, 75, of Jackson Township, passed away peacefully in to the arms of Jesus surrounded by family on September 5, 2023. She was born in Akron, Ohio on October 20, 1947 to the late Robert and Ernestine Bishop. Along with her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her son Jonathon L. Snider in 2021. 

Diane graduated from East High School in 1965 where she was a cheerleader. 2 bits, 4 bits, 6 bits, a dollar, it’s Diane Bishop, who always likes to holler! She went on to marry her childhood friend, Thomas, in 1968. They raised four children. She worked at the Hillier Family Foundation for 46 years where she retired as president in 2022.

She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and color by number on her iPad and watching Hallmark movies. She loved her weekly trips to Walmart. She would joke if she missed a week they were going to put her face on a milk carton. She was known as Polly by some of her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with them and always made an effort. Some special memories include the beach, Hartville Kitchen, beanie boos, catching tadpoles, pedicures, putt putt golf, going to the movies, trips to Circle K. The list could go on. She always encouraged the grandchildren and made sure they knew how proud she was of them.

Diane is survived by her husband of 55 years, Thomas; son Matthew (Shannan) Snider; daughters Jessica (John) Fecich and Meghan (Aaron) Wilson; grandsons Ayden, Tommie, Ethan, Israel and Harry; granddaughters Olivia, Avalyn, Madilyn, Lydia, Ella and Autumn; special cousin Greg (Deb) Jacoby; and friends. She will be deeply missed.
