Denise Kay Callaghan

Denise Kay Callaghan (née Yarman), 59, passed away on March 9, 2025, in Akron, Ohio. Born on December 2, 1965, in Medina, Ohio, she lived a life filled with love, adventure, and dedication to those around her.

Denise was known for her fun-loving spirit and deep appreciation for the outdoors. Whether exploring nature or simply enjoying time outside, she found joy in the world around her. Her hardworking nature was evident in all aspects of her life, as she approached every challenge with determination and resilience.

She is survived by her beloved partner, Mark Fleming of Seven Hills; her siblings, Debora (William) Bannerman of Ashland and Donald Yarman Jr. of Wadsworth; nieces Krystal (Autumn) Castle, Lyndsay (Anthony) Wansitler, Trina Yarman, and Trista Yarman; great-niece Layla Mae and great-nephew Lucas Gideon Wansitler; uncles Dale Yarman and John (Brenda) Yarman; as well as a host of other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.

Denise was preceded in death by her parents, Diane K. Yarman (Ady) and Donald G. Yarman Sr.; uncles Timothy and Larry Yarman; and aunts Becky and Ruth Yarman.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date and will be announced by the family when scheduled. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
