David Lawrence Flory

David L. Flory, aged 72, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023.

    David was born in Akron, Ohio on February 13, 1951 to the late William "Max" Flory and Ruby Lee (McLain) Lamm. He served with the United States Army from 1971 to 1973. Upon returning from the service, he worked at Bellow's Sign and later retired from Wayside Furniture, where he worked in the warehouse. 

    David loved watching sports and old western movies. He enjoyed spending time with his favorite dog Grizzly and his cat Ruby.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn E. Flory, stepfather Ralph Faix, and sister Betsy L. Faix.

He is survived by his siblings Bill (Lynn) Flory, Becky (Roger) Porter, Ted Faix, Paul (Lori) Faix, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

    A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Grace United Church of Christ 13275 Cleveland Avenue, N.W., Uniontown, Ohio 444685. Pastor Emily Howard will officiate. Internment will take place in May 2024 at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
