Daniel Wyatt Erb, 76, of Linz, Austria, passed away on February 28, 2024, in Akron, Ohio. He was born on October 22, 1947.
A 16-year Veteran of the US Army, Daniel dedicated himself to serving his country with honor and bravery. His military service exemplified his commitment to duty and his fellow soldiers.
After his military tenure, Daniel pursued a career as a truck driver for over 20 years. His dedication and work ethic shone through in all aspects of his life.
Daniel was a man of many interests and hobbies. He found solace in fishing, caring for his beloved cats, and spending quality time with his family. His kind-hearted nature extended to helping others, a trait that defined him throughout his life.
Daniel will be dearly missed by his wife, Vicki Erb, children Daniel Erb (Amy) and Angie Chaney (Jerry), step-son Michael Brown (Mitsuna), grandchildren Daniel Chaney, Calista Davidson (Josh), Jasmine Nichols, Brianna Erb, and Kaito Brown, great-granddaughter Lily Davidson, brothers Henry Erb and John Erb (Cheryl), sisters Ruth Wood (Bill) and Martha Cosgrove, along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Melchior Erb, mother, Rose Erb, and brother, Michael Erb.
Daniel spread joy and warmth wherever he went, with a perpetual smile on his face. He was a kind-hearted, hilarious, and compassionate man who took great pride in the accomplishments of his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Daniel's Celebration of Life will take place at Family of Faith United Methodist church located at 800 E. Market St Akron, OH 44305 on April 27, 2024 at 12:00 pm. There will be a luncheon immediately following the service.
