Cynthia Jean Drake

December 8, 1961 — April 5, 2023

Cuyahoga Falls

Cynthia J. Drake, 61, of Akron passed away April 5th, 2023. She fought a short, but hard fight. She was born December 8th, 1961 to Patricia Nelson-Wallace and Leon Wallace. She was married to her loving husband, Michael, for 43 wonderful years. Her kids, grandkids and her dog Penny were her pride and joy, alongside sports. She was one of the biggest sports fans you would ever meet. Get her talking about sports and be prepared to be blown away. She would talk circles around you. She was a huge Cleveland sports fan, especially the Cleveland Browns. Our mother was so smart, beautiful and the coolest mom on the block. She enjoyed so many things in life. It truly was “the simple things” for her. Her favorite color was yellow. Such a bright, happy and energetic color, just like her.  She loved everything about nature. Her favorite season was fall. She couldn’t wait until the leaves turned colors so she can go take pictures. One of her many hobbies was photography. She was so skilled, that she was honored with making the company calendar for Firestone Country Club, a company where she devoted over 20 years of employment. The calendar included pictures that she took of Firestone and the golf courses. She also got awarded with having the best photo by the F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm. That was such a proud moment for her. She also enjoyed spending time with her six grandkids in which she’d go to the movies with them, have bonfires with s'mores or just have them over to hang out. She spoiled each and every one of them. She loved riding her bike on the towpath trail, hiking at various places, walking and playing with Penny, picking and collecting her favorite things, shopping and singing. She loved trivia, especially playing jeopardy. She loved all music, but Fleetwood Mac was one of her favorites. She left a part of her in all of us and will be forever with us in our hearts. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael Drake; Mother Patricia Wallace and Father Leon Wallace. She is survived by daughters Michelle and Melissa; sisters Tammy; Kim Breedlove and Heidi (Terry) Braham, brothers Richard (Kim) Wallace and David (Lori) Wallace, and her aunt Carole Nelson.  Her pride and joy grandkids Sam I am; Maddy; Chloe; Junebug; Antonio and Brooke. Numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends. Visitation 11am-1pm Friday, April 14, 2023 at Adams Mason Funeral Home (791 E.
