Christopher Michael Griffin

April 13, 1988 — January 6, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Christopher Michael Griffin, who left us far too soon at the age of 36. Born in Richmond, Virginia, on April 13, 1988, Christopher was a proud, hardworking, and devoted daddy, son, brother, uncle, and friend. His unexpected departure has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him.

Christopher is survived by his two daughters, Alexis Grace and Ava Griffin of Midlothian, VA; his mother, Tina Robinson; his father, Gregg Griffin; and his stepfather, Shaun Robinson, of Akron. He also leaves behind his siblings: Hunter Griffin of Wooster, OH; Virginia Griffin of Louisville, KY; Abigail Griffin, Luke Griffin, Margaret Griffin, and Jude Griffin of Akron, OH. He is also survived by his loving grandparents, Christina Olgers of Richmond, VA, and Lenna Truman of Indore, WV, as well as his aunts and uncles: Tracy Fadely (Danny) of Richmond, VA; Elizabeth Griffin of Mokane, MO; and Thomas Griffin (Michelle) of Marshallville, OH. Christopher was an adored uncle to his nephews, Anakin Griffin and Cassius Venditti, and his niece, Miah Griffin. Additionally, he leaves behind many other family members, including Tony Padua and family, and numerous friends, who will forever cherish his memory.

A shining light in the lives of those fortunate enough to know him, Christopher’s love for life, family, and adventure was evident in all that he did. His enthusiasm for travel was unmatched, always eager to explore new places and create lasting memories with those around him. As a tech enthusiast, Christopher’s vast knowledge and expertise made him the go-to person for all things tech. His sharp wit and infectious sense of humor brought joy to everyone in his presence, and he was known for his kindness, generosity, and thoughtfulness.

A lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers, Christopher brought the same loyalty and passion to his personal life, where his energy and commitment never wavered. His impeccable sense of style—often punctuated by the most eye-catching shoes—was as memorable as his personality. Christopher’s musical taste was legendary, with his ability to create the perfect vibe at any gathering, always had the “aux bumpin’”.

Described by many as having “swag,” Christopher’s charm went beyond his fashion. It was in the way he carried himself, the way he brightened any room, and the way he made everyone feel welcome and appreciated.

Christopher’s legacy will live on through the laughter, love, and unforgettable moments he created with all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will never fade. Rest in peace, Bubba. You are our sunshine.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to his children’s college fund to help support their future and dreams. The college fund can be found at https://gofund.me/3430007b  A celebration of life will be held privately for family and friends.
