Charlie L Holling

 Charlie L. Holling of Akron Ohio, 83 years lost his battle with cancer on October 24, 2023.

    Charlie moved from Mt Andrew, AL, his birthplace, to Ohio at the age of 13 with his family.  He has been a resident of Akron, OH for the last 71 years.  Charlie enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and dancing. His main occupation was professional truck driving and other miscellaneous jobs.

    He was preceded in death by his father Dorsey Palmore, mother GerthaRee Holling and his special friend of 20+ years Joyce Carter.

    He leaves to mourn his passing his eight children: son Charles (Thea) Holling (Canton OH), son Raymond Holling and daughter Charlotte Holling (Akron OH), son Thurman Holling (Sacramento CA), son Leroy (Suzy) Holling (Neveda), son Eugene Holling (Los Angelas CA), daughter Kathy Richardson and son Michael Richardson (Akron OH), 19 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren. Seven siblings all of Akron Ohio: brother Harvey (Bill) Holling, sister Isabell (Coffey) Mansfield, sister Ethel (Timmy) Hodges, sister Louise (Stanley) Massey, sister LouEthel Scales, brother Howard Holling and brother Anthony Holling.  A host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

     At Charlie’s request there will be NO FUNERAL OR MEMORIAL SERVICES.  Condolences and cards can be sent to 1415 Chapman Dr, Akron, OH, 44305.
