Charles Tapp age 97, passed away March 14th 2023 after a short illness.
Charlie was born February 17th, 1926 in Union Kentucky. He was a Navy veteran and served in World War II. He was retired from General Motors.
Charlie was a very fun loving guy, who had amazing stories and the best belly laugh ever. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and 4 wheelers. He loved Hunting and fishing. He could build or fix just about anything. He was very proud to have served his country and had many stories about his time in World War II.
Charlie was preceded in death by his wife Betty. His Step son Arthur. His parents Jesse and Laura Tapp. 5 brothers, Carson, Jesse Jr., Lester and Quentin. 4 sisters, Norma Lee, Alma Nell, Anna, Joyce and Lavern.
He is survived by his step-daughters, Margaret Heath of Akron, Bonnie (George) Beauchamp of Suwanee GA and Michelle (Scott) Smith of Sayre PA. Grandchildren Rob Saunders of North Canton OH, Makaylee Lee and Brittany Smith both of Sayre PA.
Services will be Tuesday March 21st 2023 at 11:00 am at Adams-Mason Funeral Home. 791 E. Market St, Akron Oh 44305. Friends may call 1 hour before the service. Processional to the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman will follow with a military send off at 1:00 PM. Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186
