Charles Douglas Pritchett Jr

Charles Douglas Pritchett Jr, a beloved member of the Akron and Canton communities, passed away on November 27, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center at 7:32 PM, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on December 2, 1959, in Akron, Ohio to Charles Pritchett Sr and Hazel Pritchett. Charles will be remembered fondly for his work in home remodeling and the positive impact he had on those around him.

Charles attended McKinley High School in Canton, Ohio and graduated with a strong foundation for his future endeavors. After completing his education, he embarked on a career in home remodeling that spanned several decades. He took pride in his craftsmanship and had an impeccable eye for detail. Charles transformed countless houses into homes through his dedication and expertise.

Those who had the pleasure of knowing Charles describe him as a pleasant individual who brought joy to every interaction. With an infectious smile and a kind heart, he made everyone feel welcome in his presence. His gentle demeanor and genuine concern for others created lasting relationships that will be cherished forever.

When Charles wasn't working, he found joy in pursuing various hobbies and interests. He loved to ride bikes and explore the beautiful landscapes of Ohio. In the evenings, you could often find him watching Gunsmoke, captivated by the stories unfolding on the screen. Above all else, Charles was an avid football fan who never missed an opportunity to cheer for his favorite teams.

Charles is proceeded in death by his father Charles Pritchett Sr., mother Hazel Pritchett, brother Bob Pritchett, as well as his lovely girlfriend Mary.

Charles had a deep love for his family and cherished every moment spent with them. He is survived by brother John (Lisa) Pritchett,  brother Bill (Diane) Pritchett, sister Sherry (Kerry) Kneff, sister Linda (Joe) Pryor, Lisa Pritchett, son Michael (Debbie) Pritchett, as well as a beloved granddaughter. He also leaves behind an adoring puppy, Dolly.

The family would like to extend a grateful thank you to Charles' best friend Randy and his girlfriend.

In times of celebration or sorrow, Charles was always there to lend a helping hand and offer his unwavering support. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of crossing paths with him.

As we bid farewell to Charles Douglas Pritchett Jr, let us remember the kindness he shared, the laughter he brought, and the enduring positive impact he had on the lives of those around him. Though his physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit will continue to live on in our hearts, forever reminding us of the remarkable person he was.
